  • What are the goals and objectives?
    The objective is to gather RSPO members and stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities of sustainable palm oil production and present the RSPO's plans for the future, with a special focus on Europe.
  • The website does not seem to have all the information required yet,
    why is that?

    Website/portal is launched initially to provide as much general information as possible on the dates, program outline and host location. Vital information with regards to conference/meeting rates; sponsorship info & packages; exhibition details; subject matters for pre meeting & plenary sessions; presenters will be updated continuously as we progress on the organizing aspects of the meeting.
  • How can I become a sponsor for the 1st European Summit?

  • How can I find out more about Berlin?

  • What should I know about the venue?
    The summit will be held at the Estrel Hotel Berlin. The Estrel Berlin is Europe's largest convention and hotel complex. The Hotel is located at Sonnenallee 225, 12057 Berlin, in the south-east region of down town Berlin, just 6km (15minutes) from famous Friedrichstrasse, Unter den Linden and Brandenburger Gate.   • How can RSPO Members register for the 1st European Summit?
    RSPO Members may register for the 1st European summit online. Kindly use your RSPO Membership Code to benefit from Member Rates.
  • How can I register as non-member?
    Non-members may register for the 1st European summit online as well. Kindly use the online link provided in your invitation sent out in July.
  • What are the registration costs and deadlines for the 1st European Summit?
    Kindly have a look at our section registration. Registration deadline is the 27th August 2013.
  • How do I pay for registration?
    Payment can be made preferably by credit card.

    For all payments by bank transfer, you must send a copy of the debit to the MediaCompany registration office by fax +49 (0)228 909 6633 or by e-mail conference-secretariat(at)rspo-european-summit.com within one week of registration. If after one week your payment and verification have not been received, your registration will remain invalid and be deleted from our database.

  • Is there a visa required to enter Germany?
    EU nationals do not require a visa to enter the Federal Republic of Germany. Generally speaking, all other foreigners require a visa for stays in Germany. A visa is not required for semi-annual visits of up to 90 days for nationals of those countries for which the European Community has abolished the visa requirement.

  • Where should I make my hotel reservations?
    RSPO has arranged special rates for the participants at the Estrel Hotel Berlin. Participants are encouraged to book your rooms early to ensure availability. Reservations can be made through Accommodation. Certainly you can choose a different hotel if you wish.

  • Can we pay for the conference as a walk in delegate?
    Yes you can. Although for logistics and convenience purposes, we advise that you pre-register online through the link communicated within your invitation.


  • What are the working languages of the summit?
    The working languages of the summit will be English.


  • Will there be dedicated rooms/facilities for journalists and media?
    There will be a room for the press conference. Journalists are welcome to the summit.
